The Maighelspass MTB tour in Andermatt, Switzerland
This is one of the coolest mountainbike tours in Andermatt, Switzerland. It has a lot to offer and can be done in several variations, depending on your skills, time available and condition. You can bike up to the Oberalp Pass or take a shortcut and use the MGB Train. Please beware that the Glacier Express special train does not take bikes!
At some parts you may have to carry our bike, but these parts are not long and its an enjoyable trip even for hardtail bikes.

Routing
- Bike up the Oberalp road to the Oberalp Pass
- At the pass you can choose to keep height and follow the hiking trail or bike down next to the road.
- Follow the signs to the Maighels SAC Hut.
- At the bottom of the almos flat valley follow the beautifull river and enjoy the great scenery!
- Take a right turn towards the Maighels pass, here you have to carry your bike over some snowfields.
- At the pass take a break next to the lake
- Follow trail down to the Vermigel SAC hut. here you can have a coffee break
- Bike down the road to Andermatt along the beautifull Unteralp valley
